Technically the Summer Stage can only play as late as 10:30 pm but any shows I’ve been to or happened upon while at the boardwalk have ended by 10 pm.

I haven’t had the others but Broad Street Dough Co is really good. I’m near their Ocean/Oakhurst location on Rt 35 & have been there many times. They also have vegan donuts and all of their products are certified kosher.

Ashley’s Organic Desserts does a lot more than cakes including a variety of different types of pastries. Good luck on finding some good croissants! I have the same allergies as my son plus a few more. Good baked goods are hard to come by.

Ashley’s Organic Desserts is amazing! She’s really lovely to work with, too, and can do custom orders. She offers pick up from her home in Robbinsville, right off 195, but I believe she’s in the Howell area, too. We’re near Red Bank and it was 100% worth the drive. We had emailed and called around to a number of different bakeries about a custom order but she was the only bakery who could make something safe for my son allergy wise.
We got a gluten free, dairy free, egg free, soy free & pea protein free cake from her 2 months ago for my son’s birthday and it was absolutely delicious. No one in our family could believe that it was actually free of all of those allergens as it tasted that good. We all went back for seconds & thirds.
Depending on what you’re looking for, another really delicious option is Cookman Creamery in Asbury Park. They make gluten free, vegan ice cream cakes and pies. The one I got had gluten free chocolate crunchies in the center like how Carvel makes their ice cream cakes. Their vegan ice creams are made with different bases like coconut cream, oat milk, almond milk, cashew milk, soy milk or tahini for those with allergies or personal preferences.

I miss Monmouth Mall in its heyday. I loved the little telephones that were attached to those fake trees that children could use to listed to a story or the playground in The Children’s Place. I was a mall rat back in the early 90’s. Back when they had an arcade and pet shop.

That’s one of those weird areas that either doesn’t have its own zip code or the post office just likes to make things confusing. NJ really enjoys doing that in this neck of Monmouth County. We all consider the Rt 35 bridge that crosses the Navesink as the dividing line between Red Bank & Middletown. Though according to the post office, Whole Foods on Rt 35 and even the medical office on corner of Apple Farm Rd & Rt 35, just north of the overpass for the Normandy Rd, the military road, as Red Bank.

Imagine That! There was one in Middletown and another location a little north.
We went to the Middletown location a lot in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. My kids loved that place. They had a real airplane and fire truck in the back, a pretend grocery store, a dance studio, the news station. I’ve lost count of how many birthday parties we attended and hosted there.
