Yeah, that's the Kastner mansion. It was designed by the same architect the same year he was designing the Krueger mansion! It actually has several identical features inside, including that fantastic staircase.

I never would have imagined in a million years that this building was going to see new life. I have photos of the inside on my blog from when it was still abandoned and you can see what horrible shape it was in.

It's not abandoned, the condos are mostly complete. If you go inside it's been totally renovated. I got a tour like a year and a half ago.

They do not "walk in the middle of speeding traffic " they walk between cars at red lights. Knock it off with the hyperbole.

If red car can't assert themselves they need to get the fuck over and let the better driver behind them handle it.

The red car is the biggest asshole here, you should not be proud of that.

Of course it does. It's a courtesy to help traffic move properly. It applies everywhere, even where it's not a law and even not in cars. Walking slow on the sidewalk? Keep it to the right. On a bike trail going for a leisurely ride? Off to the right. It's common courtesy and quite honesty the most basic decency to show another human.

Yeah those are up all over the city. I still keep water and snacks in the car. If they want to turn this into a whole thing I'd be happy to go to court to fight the charge.

Thats been a shitshow forever. For years that site was home to the Pabst brewery, super visible from the parkway. Once it closed it got scrapped and became a massive eyesore that sat there for over a decade. When they eventually did tear it down they apparently did not properly remediate the building for pests. Rats flooded the surrounding neighborhood by the thousand, and it's been a huge problem ever sense. Meanwhile that land just sits there. The whole thing just sucks.

I hope you warn anyone who doesn't eat meat that it's in there. This is the kinda stuff that makes me not want to eat other people's home cooking.
