I vote for making Worcester more walkable, with more public transportation and more bike lanes. If you create more parking that means more cars. People in cars have only one destination in mind. They come in and they go out . People who walk notice and stop at multiple places along their route. It's so much better for businesses & people. Every neighborhood in the city needs to consider it's walkability and how it can be improved. The city has so much to offer and it's a shame that people only see it out their car window.

I am also interested for my grandchild. I think the Worcester schools are overburdened but I specifically don't know about autism or any of their programs. I noticed there are a lot of ABA-based treatment programs around, but they seem kind of old school and not based on the current thinking about neurodiversity. They seem more into treating autism as a disease to be cured which is not what our family is interested in. I would love to hear what others think and also wonder what support groups are available for families. We recently relocated here from the Boston area and I can say that Central Mass is definitely behind on most everything that you would find in Boston.

Most definitely yes! There's a small museum all about Worcester which is worth seeing. It won't take long to go through and it's pretty inexpensive. You'd be surprised by the historic significance of either the city or things that happened in the city over the ages. There are historic homes if you're into that kind of thing. I find the architecture of the downtown and some of the other areas pretty cool. There are some really beautiful buildings all over the city. Worcester has a big revolutionary war history if you're into that. There's also significant native american history in Worcester that is not talked about very much. Worcester has some outstanding parks and a lot of green space if you're into hiking, walking, etc. You could easily spend a day doing historical touring or a day doing cultural things or even a day at a minor league baseball game and eating your way through the city. It's a big city

A more walkable city & better public transportation, including possibly having electric buses on tracks so traffic wouldn't be an issue for them. I would love to see 290 buried underground and the city brought together again instead of being split in half by a highway. The area where the highway is could become parks and entertainment areas which would make the abutting areas more attractive. This would help downtown too. It's a huge project but look what it did for Boston.

Yeah, I get you, in a pessimistic state I'd say it will get us nothing. If instead I choose optimism and hope, then I have to say that demonstrations have caused change to happen. The older I get the more I realize that neutrality, or doing nothing or not having an opinion, is no longer an option.

Because police violence is out of control and getting worse instead of better. Police and politicians need to know that we're watching and we care about what they're doing. The militarization of police needs to stop. Also, who do you think is paying for all of these jury awards? You and me baby.

If you have a primary care doctor mention it to them. There is medication they can give you that can help. Search Reddit for support groups! Good luck! It's worth it. You're worth it!

There needs to be year around activity at the park. Of course the dead of winter is going to be more difficult but even Fenway hosts hockey games and even some high school sports on the field. Then there's the situation with the concerts. What's the feasibility of fixing the height of the entryway for trucks to enter? Who is responsible for running the facility and doing the marketing? They seem to be falling down on the job or was this park supposed to be a one-trick pony?

I was coming here to say this exact thing. Dropping 290 underground would be so beneficial for the city that is currently bisected by this road. It would open up the city, provide the space for buses, trains, bike lanes, leisure activities just like it did in Boston. Dropping route 93 underground in Boston made it into a world-class city connecting the waterfront to downtown.
