I'm actually confused at yanks believing in this without any proof.

Do you know how viruses work, do you know the labs safety-precausions, do you have any reason to believe they were creating mutations of a virus and if so under such deplorable conditions etc.

I'm not saying it isn't possible, I'm saying it's weird to jump at this so easily. Especially since it really doesn't matter apart from when officials want to shift blame.

This isn't really uplifting and I'll tell you why as bluntly as I can.

Outside of cosmetic surgery there's only two fields (not counting research on immortality etc) where medicine are allowed to capitalize on people for profit.

One is freezing eggs and fertilizing them for women, one is keeping early babies born alive.

Both seem great on paper, but research shows that the odds of these babies turning into people who enjoy healthy long lives is just not the case. I know that sounds insanely inhumane but as someone who was born into horrendous circumstances I've come to be one of those who do not give a shit about "parents right to a child" but rather a child's right to a good life. Even my ex who voted on the feminist-party here in Sweden (aka the most left you can get on any spectrum before going insane) instantly answered me when I asked her "What would you do if you got pregnant and the child had deformities?" - Without hesitation she said abortion. Because, especially in hippie-circles, there's tons of people who have lifelong problems. She told me she had had too many such friends attempt suicide and just live a life they never wanted that she didn't wish that upon anyone.

I'm not saying saving a life is wrong. I'm saying you aught to think about the life you decide to give someone. "What, should the parents just let the child die?!" well it depends on each case, and emotions are a huge factor for everyone...

But for me, this is almost like getting the diagnosis that your child will have a life rampant with health-problems and deciding to still go through with the pregnancy. Sure, it eases your conscience but I can't promise your child will be grateful for it.

This is a faux "upliftingnews" alá American standards.

"STARVING FAMILY GETS FREE FOOD!" this isn't uplifting, it's fucking insane that the family was starving to begin with.

Same here, this isn't solving or helping a problem, this is treating the symptoms whilst clapping eachother on the back whilst not at all addressing the actual cause.

I will never for the life of me get why people care so much about "birth" relations.

Given, I know the saying "Blood is thicker than water" is actually a bastardisation of the original "Blood of the covenant is thicker than water of the womb" as in the friends and family you choose are above those who you are given by fate.

But I know tons of blood relatives, and they're assholes. Hell my father is a huge asshole, people sometimes ask if I didn't miss having a father and I can only answer no because he wasn't one. My oldest brother acted as a fatherfigure and he did his best and a great job at that.

My point being, people fixate way too much on the title. It is men who honour titles not titles who honour men. Who your "mother" or "father" or "brothers/sisters" are are not defined by blood, it is those around you who act like it. Those around you who you know are your true family, whoever or whatever they may be be it a pet or a friend.

As a Swede I can just say that selling out both our schools, prisons, military and elderly food to Sodexho was a fucking warcrime. Fuck that company and their shitty soggy tasteless spagetthi.

It was almost never the people making the foods fault. When I was on the weekend K9-watch and it was just like 50 people on base the foodstaff, with the same budget as usual days, made godamn oven parfait and delicious meatloaf. It's just that they're given shitty kits to produce way too much food way too fast and the end product is bad overall food.

In college we ate out more often than we ate in school, and it cost like 11$ per eating but we still rather did that than eat Sodexho food.

Gods I hate multinational companies

Funfact: Yellow peasoup is what made the Swedish armies able to do mobile warfare against russia and the catholics during the 30year war. Every third Swedish male died in the wars, but ever since (over 200 years) the Swedish military has always served yellow-peasoup on Thursdays. As well as pancakes in later centuries.

Yes and as a Swede I can't begin to tell you what a paradise Saudi and Qatar is for women compared to Sweden. I mean Sweden has women reporting rapes, sexual assault etc. but there's NO rapes or sexual assaults reported in Qatar, Saudi etc! My, this must be because of the alcohol and gayban! See what utopia these countries are! /s

This is why kids need to learn why statistics can be used maliciously and falsely, how truth spoken might not be spoken truthfully, how causality and causation are not the same thing.

Fuck off qatar, you rape every female guest-worker you can just as Saudi did.
