'blue hour' is the period of time just after the sunset, around dusk when the sky takes on inky, indigo hues and before it becomes totally black.

No worries about the photographer thing! So there’s no filter per se here I actually left this one “as shot” in my editing app for white balance.
I liked it because (to me anyway) it felt kinda cinematic and conveyed that it was blue hour when I took the pic. Having said that I also really prefer this edit for Many of the reasons you stated.

Changed it up A bit. I liked it “as shot” cause it felt cinematic. I actually like this quite a bit more if I’m being honest. Good call.

So believe it or not that’s not always the case. A lot of the hawks in the city are so acclimated to people that they kind of don’t care about us as long as we aren’t directly on top of them.
I do have a long lens but I didn’t need it for this shot. This guy was unbothered by my presence.

Beavers are one of those animals that’s like surprisingly common. Having said that I have yet to photograph one and it’s low key been driving me crazy.

They look similar that is true but I promise you it is a house sparrow. There is several nests inside the bushes outside my job and this little lady was eating with the rest of them.
