It was quite common at one time to manipulate sexy images (decades before photoshop) subliminally into ad photography

This set off a media firestorm, & the Army began clamping down on marijuana usage, arresting ~1000 G.I.s a week for possession. Unfortunately, it has an environment not influenced by any ocean currents and it is comparatively cold. Kind of sucks Dec - March.
