Hulu is probably assumed because of Triangle of Sadness' distributor. From a real quick search I haven't found which service it will be on, but it may take time as foreign films like to recoup their cost with American audiences as long as possible. (Especially in awards time for a prestige film)

Check out Bunuel films, Bergman films, Fellini films, maybe even Tati films. If I think of any more specific ones will let you know!

Inland Empire. Twin Peaks Season 3. The Shining (of course). Lost Highway. Generation P. There are more but these were the most clear.

Yeah, A Serious Man is one I guess I'd say, but you've mentioned the Coen Brothers. Some Haneke like Happy Ending fits, I think. Force Majeure and some Ruben Ostland. Altman has a few that might work too. Shortcuts, Nashville, Kansas City and some others. Definitely would not say The End of the Tour though.
