Gilbert chemistry set a classic toy from my youth (this is the 50's version - but in the late 1960s lots of these were still floating around). Used to come with a few potentially nasty compounds. I still remember the sulfur smell in the basement from one bad experiment.
(No not talking about doo-doo).

I live in NY and would so love to live in California, such a beautiful state.

Sweet find! My parents bought a huge 1860 Victorian house in the late 1960s. The cool stuff we found turned me into a collector. My best find in that house was an 1876 Winchester .40 lever action rifle, hidden in the attic.
