In the town I grew up in there was a small mom and pop grocery store. They had some bins in the store full of items with "Reduced for quick sale" stickers on them. All of them were expired and at a discounted price. My Grandmother lived almost entirely off of food from these bins for as long as I can remember. For as long as she was able to shop for herself her fridge and cabinets were filled with items that had those stickers on them.
