Facts, there's a reason why they televised people getting beat on camera. Shit was a threat to the general population if they thought about protesting for anything. Even when you do it "the right way" there's almost no coverage on it making it useless.

Too busy working or distracting ourselves. There's a reason why so many people were in the streets protesting during the pandemic, lot of shit was locked down

Strange I'm finding articles saying that younger generations are more health conscious, and it's gone up even more after the pandemic. I do think Food Swamps are a major factor, but processed food in general aling with a sedentary lifestyle might be the main culprits

I wonder how that study would do today considering tthe data was taken from 2004 to 2015. People are a bit more health conscious now, then they were 10 years ago

Yea the housing first approach is vastly superior to treatment first.
People's mental state deteriorates once they're on the streets, and they use drugs to cope. Telling them to stop with the substance abuse while not giving them a safe environment is beyond cruel

Nah, Black folks can be annoying too. The threat of displacement and gentrification is real, but the solution to that isn't to block almost every new build that's proposed in the city. We should demand more non-market or public housing with mechanisms in place so your rent isn't raised over a certain percentage after your lease is up.
Their anger should be directed at Suffolk and Nassau county who ranks on the bottom for permit approvals for new builds, putting extra strain on housing inventory in NYC. Their anger should be directed at their representatives who believes in grandstanding over helping their constituents. Their anger should be directed at NY for being the worst city in the East for keeping up with housing demand which has resulted in a population decline for tge past 10 years.

More green space can help against flooding and drainage issues. I think a giant field of green would be more beneficial than a parking lot imo

Agreed, less parking means more development and people are less likely going to drive there so the traffic will be less insane on game days.

Reply to comment by Amethyst7834 in Are the youtube platform AI and many others social media AI are corrupting the young generation? by NTR_Slayer
The youth don't really have a place to socialize anymore outside of school. It used to be the mall, but those are mostly on their last legs, so online gaming and social media fill that missing third place. The only reason why social media got as big as it did was because we destroyed everything of value outside of it

Is the city going to outsource the street painting to a contractor? I read the link but I'm still confused how this would cost $500 million
