🤔 a couple of thoughts:

1: I don’t think either Rasika or Filomena are highly hyped restaurants. Rasika gets more attention than Filomena, but it’s not mentioned much on social media or the “Best of” lists. I love Filomena, but only ever see/hear it brought up in context of where to bring family. Maybe I’m missing some foodie buzz, not being on Instagram 🤷‍♂️

2: Filomena is no where near city center.

3: Food poisoning? C’mon. You’re absolutely no more likely to get sick at these places than anywhere else.

Is this that mountain of plastic debris that magically appeared after they cut down all the bamboo and shrub?!

For real. Sunday was incredible, and all these putzes spent it breathing exhaust from inside their Dodge Caravans. What a waste.

It’s been since pre-panda, but we really enjoyed St Regis and Blue Duck Tavern. Neither are cheap, but both are great. Willard is also notable.

Huh, this just made me realize they no longer sell their syrups. During the height of the panda, you could buy bottles of all their stuff, from straight up simple syrup to the cherry blossom syrup.

How would limiting voting to just one choice change the data? Seems to me that allowing voters to choose multiple options, you're basically letting them say "I like these ones", instead of "This one is the best".

Sounds like more Federal dollars into DC's pocket, which I am all for. With that said, the alphabet soup in DC didn't need yet another "centralized communication center" to see the writing on the wall on January 6th. Anyone with a twitter account leading up to and through the election knew what was going on. Sticking all the bureaucrats and sycophants into one building wouldn't have made them take the obvious anymore seriously.

It’s only been 6 years. You haven’t missed that much. The Wharf redo is just about done, The Old Post Office finally had the Trump smell washed off, and there are a lot fewer red hats walking around the Mall.

Tbf, I’m only repping Compass over Maman, specifically for coffee in that two-three block radius on Wisconsin Ave.

Beyond that, trust me on chocolate and pastries. My opinions on Coffee are far from reliable.
