I just finished a book about Team Six and one of the things that came out was that Bissonnette and Robert O'Neil were competing to see who would fire the kill shot on OBL. Neither operator did (an unnamed shooter nicknamed 'Red' did). And the other Admirals and Generals waited until after they retired before writing their books. I actually just finished a book about Seal Team Six and how it's become ruled not by the rules of warfare but by a protect your own mentality. Bissonnette and Robert O'Neil both wrote books about the raid (O'Neil has claimed to be the one who fired the kill shot on OBL even though pretty much everyone involved says he didn't) but O'Neil waited until he was out of the Navy before he wrote his.
