I bought my Bose Wave Radio 1 (AWR1) new in the mid 1990’s, still works effortlessly today and coming up for 30 years. I think the only thing that is likely to fail with solid state electronics are the analog parts like the speakers, the Bose speakers are still available idk about other makes though so it makes sense to buy a brand that has good primary and secondary market parts suppliers.

Idk where you are you getting prices over $20k, maybe a wide built-in with every option, my full size side-by-side was under $10k not so long ago and the only thing I have replaced is a $65 water filter every six months or so. However there are plenty of folk paying much higher than this where I live, so there certainly is demand for Sub Zero refrigerators in the range you mention.

My parents house has a Gaggenau gas cooktop from the 1980’s and a steam oven they bought in 2005, both are still in regular use. I think the cooktop is pre-Bosch and Gaggenau is a very old German brand established back in the 17th century. Oh and their steam ovens are amazing, I bought one ten years ago.
