The working class can and must be engaged by ideas and policies that might actually help them. A majority will reject them off-hand because GOP identity politics works most strongly on them, but you will plant seeds of doubt in some folks. Leaving wrong ideas unchecked and otherized hasn’t gotten our society any lasting change, it’s just led to our current issues. Societies and cultures don’t get better because you call someone an idiot or a racist. I’m not saying everyone should engage everyone who supports politicians with backwards, dangerous, fascist viewpoints, but if they only ever hear the other side hurling insults at them, they’re gonna double the fuck down on their support of fascists.

Do you care about the well-being of the people/water/land in the areas that they want to frack, the potential displacement and harm to those communities, and long-term effects of that sort of quick and dirty way of energy gains rather than more sustainable energy options that also provide jobs and money to the communities without destroying natural resources and making people sick?

I live in a fairly rural area and personally know people who carry guns in PA who legally shouldn’t (and who I personally don’t trust for safety reasons). Expanding carry laws to make it legally easier to carry a gun will mean very little to those in communities where everyone already carries and there’s very little enforcement of the laws in place. I see no net benefit to expanding those laws, as the areas where easier access to guns would potentially hurt more people than help will outweigh any theoretical benefit to people in areas where the people crying for that expansion live.

He wants to personally be able to decide who has access to voting and what votes count. He wants to personally be able to decertify voting machines and votes. Do you not see how a person being elected controlling whose votes count is fascism and not democracy? What makes you think you or he or me, for that matter, should get to personally decide what a “legitimate” and “free” and “fair” election looks like? There should be a nationally-regulated standard for certifying votes, etc, and this should NOT be left up to the whims and fancies of local electors. He will do nothing to create a more fair voting or election process. He will pick and choose which votes count to give himself more power. The idea that the 2020 election was rigged or skewed has been categorically proven to be a myth, and the cases of voter fraud that have actually held up have mostly been found to be Republicans. Making it harder to vote doesn’t lead to a more sound or fair election.

There, I refuted your bigger points without calling you racist. I don’t expect you to change anything, and I do think it’s unfortunate that you believe the lines of bullshit being fed to you. All the best to you.

I’ll bite, I’m not calling you any kind of “it’s” and I’m curious why you hate Oz and what stances Mastriano has that you agree with, and how you see his support for the destruction of American democracy as a positive thing. Sincerely curious to hear your independent thoughts.
