Sometimes we have a habit of viewing the past in better terms than it really was. Entergy Louisiana had absolutely no interest in keeping the plant running from the day it was acquired, and VY was not going to see any investment past the bare minimum. Remember the leaking pipes? They spot patched it to the minimum standards instead of replacing the whole system to cut costs. Ultimately it was a business decision, not a political one, to decommission a plant past its usable life.

You could find trade jobs anywhere in the state. I'm not sure about reflexology jobs though.

First step: you should secure jobs and then base housing location decision on distance from those jobs and what's affordable with your new salaries.

Fuck Patrick Kennedy and his well funded mission to tell people that since he couldn't handle his addiction, nobody else will either.

Agnostic here. I don't see the issue with religious people or their products as long as I'm not directly being preached at as a precondition of partaking in their services (Fuck you, Salvation Army) or that there's not a subtext for hating others in the community.
And the glorifying god thing? Bach wrote his music soli deo gloria ("Glory to god alone), but that doesn't mean it has no value to me. I'm not saying these guys are the Bach's of donuts, but I'll wait until I taste them to decide if it's worth another trip.

Jay also has that huge indoor water park, which could be helpful if/when the kids have enough of being outside on the mountain

Cambridge is the closest town. They have a good brunch site in 158 Main, some small stores in a little downtown, a gluten free beer maker, and a distiller. But if you're looking to take up more than a few hours you'll find yourself driving further towards Burlington or Montpelier.

My ex-roommate marched in the Ohio State marching band's Gettysburg Address tribute 10 years ago. Nice show, but was probably lost on most of the audience.

Reply to Should I buy a car from paya’s auto vt by Mentalwarrior7
We bought a car from their a few years ago. They were upfront that it was a salvage title which apparently some states don't allow to be resolved. Our car was in a flood, but the inside of the car was spotless, and we only had a minor radio issue, which they happily fixed for us that day at the other location by Mazzas. The car was about $4,500 less than a similar used but not salvaged car, so we ended up with a better model than we were originally looking for.
So far the car still runs like a champ, knock wood.
