If the OP is bidding on houses in Stowe, they are doing ok on the cash front and most likely have their finances sorted. Hiring a realtor, a professional who’s job and career peer connections is to know all the info the OP asked, is the right move. Additionally, an experienced realtor will know of properties before the come to market.
Edit: spelling

Funny how the current president and his party, with total control through January 2023, kept DeJoy on the payroll and didn’t seriously propose or do anything to fix the post office.
Hmmm….

Except most of vermont healthcare is not for profit, including out major insurers blue cross and MVP. If you have a link to Shumlins study, I’d like to see it. I don’t remember the numbers working the way you do.

We wouldn’t save money. As a stand alone state with free healthcare we would be a magnet for healthcare tourism and we would be bankrupted.
Vt cannot go it alone on universal healthcare.

There are major differences in heating/cooling appliances made for and sold in the US and those used in the rest of the world. Additionally the size, type and construction of housing in the US does not make for an accurate comparison with Norway 🇳🇴

Heat pumps are great.
However, manufacturers are still developing and fine tuning heat pumps for cold markets. This is not a mature product category yet.
As a result, parts are hard to come by as manufacturers make major changes from year to year in their product lines. Many lesser brand units will be functionally obsolete in less than 10 years as part support will not exist.
Only purchase heat pumps from big name manufacturers and use an established local company that plans to be in business when you need service and maintenance.
Good luck finding service for your heat pump if the installer is no longer in business.

I think the real point is that licensing doesn’t make you a good teacher. It’s just a hurdle put in place to protect the status quo of the education establishment.

Your legislators are mostly responsible for this debacle. While the hospital administrators have clearly had a hand in screwing this up, they did so at the direction and mandate of our legislature.

Including “Traditional” independent schools is really trying to thread the needle.
Unless subsidies to ALL private schools go away, the lawsuit will again be filed for discrimination and the state will lose. The court ruling was clear. States don’t have to provide subsidies to private schools, but if they do, they can’t discriminate.
To allow the traditional 4 academies to exist in this scheme, they need to become public school entities. If they continue as private entities, they should not receive public funds.

Call the green mountain care board and your legislators. They took a stressed system, turned it into a state sanctioned monopoly, and then really fucked us all over with their grand financial experiment.
Now the insurers are bailing on the legislatures little monopoly and the the workers are fed up with forced overtime and shit pay. Prices are skyrocketing as inflation bites and our leaders have their thumbs up their asses.
So…FUCK YOU LEGISLATURE AND UVMMC ADMINISTERS!!!

Except that the head of the the NTSB is on record saying deregulation did not have an effect on this accident based on the train by type.
NTSB Chair Jennifer Homendy said…
“The ECP braking rule would've applied ONLY to HIGH HAZARD FLAMMABLE TRAINS. The train that derailed in East Palestine was a MIXED FREIGHT TRAIN containing only 3 placarded Class 3 flammable liquids cars," she tweeted. "This means even if the rule had gone into effect, this train wouldn't have had ECP brakes."
So, please check your politics and show some empathy for those Americans who are suffering.

- Given the current known numbers, it is most assuredly the largest campaign finance fraud ever uncovered in the US.
- Agree that campaign funding laws are week.

You do realize that most of the green mountain forest is less than 150 years old as the entire state was almost clear cut in the 1800’s.
The forests of Vermont have been actively managed since that time. That management has resulted in what we currently have: a productive, multi use forest ecosystem that employs Vermonters, allows for ample recreation opportunities and has a generally healthy biodiversity.
Do us a favor, and “save” your own state first. Once you have done that, then please come and present the result of your efforts for us to see.
