When someone needs a deposit return it should be coming from the complexes business account not via handing the original payment back.

I strongly suspect that that isn't what is going on behind the dumpster at Wendys.

It is a real thing, but lots of people can't do it for one reason or another.

It's also possible to be deferred from donating for no fault of your own and not be able to go for weeks so you can't really budget for the money.

I did it pretty solidly for almost 10 years.
