"The N.J. Family Leave Act forbids employees on leave from performing services full-time for any employer for whom the employee did not provide those services before beginning FLA leave. An employee on FLA leave may work part-time, but not for more than half as many hours weekly as the employee regularly works for the leave-granting employer. Employers may not forbid such part-time work."

So if you want to work for your current employer, you can, but for not more than half as many hours as you worked before. I had an employee who did this while on NJ Family Leave. You can't work at all for any other employer either full-time or part-time. It's pretty straightforward. You can wrestle with the cash options on your own.

Some of the ones that were more "store like," ex Eileen Fisher outlet, had really stringent return policies. They ended up being not that much cheaper, if cheaper at all, than shopping at Macy's during one of its many one day sales and have more liberal return policies.

About a month ago, I went to the Springfield DMV office to transfer title. Maybe it was because you can get an appointment or it was a relatively new office with improved workflow, but out of the four people I spoke with, three were perfectly pleasant. The fourth was grumpy, but I give her extra points for wearing a mask. A friend went and had a similar experience. My go-to DMV office.

Never heard of one that was. Chinese or possibly MidEastern.

Just did the same thing. You have to:

1. Go to DMV. You'll need the title and payoff information, which will show the state tax paid, plus your insurance card. They'll switch the registration and you'll get new plates. I made an appointment at Springfield DMV and was in and out in under an hour.

2. Call your insurance company and let them know you own the car not the loan company.

3. If you have EZ-PASS, register the new license plate online.

Join a wine club. See what discussions or events are open to public at Princeton and Rutgers. Book clubs are also a good avenue.

Not only TaskRabbit but Thumbtack offers people who will assemble. I bought a chair from Wayfair - same model was all over and they were the cheapest. Hired someone for $55 to a assemble through Thumbtack.

I lived in South Orange for 10 years and I worked part time in East Orange then. Then I lived 20 years in Maplewood and the last 3 in West Orange. My children went to the South Orange/Maplewood school system. I never lived in Montclair but am pretty familiar with the Oranges.

I am not sure what you want. The crime rate is higher than West Orange, Montclair and surrounding communities mentioned in other posts. The schools are not as good. The rents are cheaper. Real estate is less expensive too.

I hope you will drive though and around these communities on your own so you can determine where you want to live.

West Orange and Bloomfield seem like good options and are lower priced than Montclair, safer and decent schools.

Oh 22. By a mile. I had to go to the Springfield DMV office - it's now off of 22 and a well run location - last Thursday. I forgot how bad it was and then I had to get on GSP.

But, and I realize this is off point, 22 is nothing compared to the Cross Bronx Expressay, which has been voted the worst highway in America for years. The area between the Bronx River Parkway and Washington Bridge is a total nightmare.

I still get the SL delivered daily, supporting local journalism. They still have comics, which my husband always read first. Some like Peanuts are just repeats and others like Calvin & Hobbes are no longer drawn, but many others that people list are still carried. It's not like they don't have comics in the SL today!

Another option is Thumbtack app. You'll have to pay, unlike some other options above, but keep it on your list.

Personally, I'd go to the Newark Museum - small, approachable museum and there's a Buddhist temple blessed by the Dali Lama and then the Ironbound for late lunch or dinner. (Lots of places, or use Yelp.)
