Try some Dansko clogs. Great support and long lasting if not lifetime shoes. Still I have a pair that just died after 6 years of almost daily wear.

The internet has killed off the shopping north of Augusta. You might be better off looking to Vermont or New Hampster

There is a clinic in Lubec, a small hospital? In Machias, but the real hospital is in Bangor.

True, but it is changing. I actually know 3 different couples who have or are retiring in the area.

Ooof. I'd love to live there, but need a lottery prize to do it.

I have lots of my mom’s bakeware, all aluminum made in the early 50s. Never been in a dishwasher and extremely well-used. It will go to my niece when I die.

A 14kW system in 2019 was around $30k, can’t recall exactly (our project included a lot of other needed electrical work on our home). It was a rooftop installation on a metal roof. Can’t say enough good about Main Solar Solutions. Our across the street neighbor chose them a year later for their project.

Maine Solar Solutions, they were excellent and a Mosaic loan @2.99%. The loan allowed us to replace the external house connection, which was not up to code, upgrade with a new box to 200 amps, and fix some other electrical problems and install heatpump and 2 heads.

Unfortunately my most local thrift stores are Goodwill and appear to be focusing on selling dollar store products and MalWart brand clothing. The few other charity shops succumbed to Covid. Im a dedicated thrifter and a thrift store road trip is a fun winter activity. A Rancillo espresso machine would be akin to a lottery win.
