I saw a trailer and thought it was a spoof advert for something - haven’t been able to bring myself to watch it largely because of that

They were both ok/pretty good for what they were with some big flaws if you let them bother you.

Don’t get me started on the writing
So self indulgent it can only be only be considered as mastubatory!

Bring the hate but I genuinely do not understand the love for this character at all.
The hammiest performance I’ve seen, maybe ever - totally one note and essentially unwatchable.
Still, it’s Marvel - who since Endgame/infinity war seem intent on producing as much trash as they possibly can…

Maybe the fact it’s a completely unwatchable dumpster fire has something to do with it?

Barry was good when it was a comedy.
It isn’t good anymore.

A far bolder claim than made above haha!
Each to their own, naturally.

Trust me, I'm aware of the flaws.
Hate is a strong word. You do you but I can appreciate them even if they didn't hit every mark.

This has to be the most common yet totally ridiculous worry for many people.
You are going to sit in a dark room and stare at a screen in total silence (bar laughing et al).
Why on earth would you need other people to do this?
Social stigma!?!?!?!?
Not anymore... it was stupid back in the day but nowadays no one gives a fuck.
I went to see this at the cinema - on my own, as I have been living abroad and hand't been to the cinema in over three years.
Just go - you'll enjoy it I'm sure!

Whilst I don't rate Prometheus as highly as Alien/Aliens, I still really love it - and it was the single best experience I've ever had in a cinema bar none.
Hadn't smoked weed in about two years - decided to get some to have before going to see it - at BFI IMAX in London.
Smoked... started sweating and feeling really, really bad...
Walked into the screen room and was overcome by how big it all was - like a colosseum - made it to our seats with my buddy and was confronted with the biggest screen I'd ever seen.
Then all of a sudden I perked up and was in perfect movie-watching headspace.
The film started and I watched Shaw's gigantic head appear on the screen and then I was totally immersed in this visual masterpiece for the length of the entire runtime.
It was so epic...

I remember in the mid-late eighties I saw a fantasy film at some kid's house where they had magic rings with blue/red laser/magic but have never been able to find it since.
Weird how these things stick with you - I don't think I was even in school yet at the time.

Alien 3 the worst in the franchise?
Bold claim imo.
I like them all - my Alien blu-ray box set is one of my most treasured movie possessions. Sure 3 and 4 don't compare to 1 & 2, but neither do any other movies.
Lightning in a bottle that happened to strike twice.

The thing about space is it’s big… really big. It might seem like a long way down the road to the shop but that’s just peanuts to space.
