Oh it's definitely something I will consider next year when my lease is up, I just really wanted to give Providence a try after enjoying my visits there.

Gun laws, the compactness of the state, and demographics are the big 3 reasons I picked RI(well the west side of Prov specifically) over anywhere in MA. A lot of the towns near Ux were too small population-wise for my liking.

I’m not too much of a seafood person being that my family are largely rural southerners from NC/SC, so no worries here on the chowder.

Work. I work for Cowan Systems and got assigned to the BJ's warehouse in Uxbridge, MA.

My home state, Maryland, is similar so it sounds like it won’t be too hard to adjust.

As someone moving to RI in a week, is this time of year usually like this?? Every time I’ve visited in the last month it called for snow but it wound up coming down as just some flurries.

That sounds like what I used to do before “fun” runs in the Army😂
