This dude faced 20 years in the DOC but walks with probation.

When I was kid it was "Taxachusetts" which was synonomous with "Dutaxis" ie.. Mike Dukakis.
Another slur from back then that was popular usually said by people from other parts of country in ignorance not spite was or is: Massatusetts" dropping the "ch"

Yea true ,plea scaring is an unethical but common tactic.A prosecutor is not supposed to bring charges unless they truly feel thay can prove a case BRD.
Very often they throw on charges to get a better plea,if they charge here murder 2 they can get a longer sentence out of a manslaughter plea.
It would be ironic if the DA's are using Mac book's instead of Microsoft laptops in court.

Western is about a million Metro Springfield is substantial,600K people in that area All the little towns add up Berkshire county in about 130K Franklin about 90K
