I live in S PHL and a driver tried to pull that “flat rate” shit with me. I had taken a cab to the airport, so I knew it wasn’t going to be $30+. I told him to run the meter. He told me to “Get out.”

They had an ad looking for fine-dining servers. Projected earnings of $70K+. 🤷🏻‍♀️

The Black Cat was the best. I still remember their tiny cat soaps. I had a t-shirt from there but it got lost during a move. I wish I could find another shirt. 😭

What a bummer. I don’t blame him either.

I waited on John Street (only waited on Street and Nutter, so I only have come into contact with them) a couple of years ago and asked him if he missed being mayor.

He said “You ever have a headache that lasts every day for years on end? One day, you just wake up and the headache is gone.”

I’ll take that as a no.

Nutter was a nice customer but GODDAMN a restaurant’s closing time meant nothing to him. Had to stay a couple extra hours every time he came in at 9:55 (10 PM closing).

Tell me about it. I went to a concert at the Cotton Bowl last year. We were able to catch a bus (or tram?) to the show but we were totally f-ed after the show. I expected that, but I didn’t expect the torrential rain that fell during and after the concert. ☹️

Pretty much all of Texas is car-centric. Public transportation is not very good, and everything is far apart. The heat becomes a factor as well.

With a username like that, of course you’ve been chosen by a beautiful black cat. 😉
