Never worked with a lawyer before (New to the US) How does that work? Are the lawyers consultation free? Who pays for the lawyer’s fee?

Nope the drainage is right outside the parking. Only way in and out of the parking.

Previously 2 pieces were broken. They fixed one of the pieces which gave us enough support to get our cars in and out. The other one just broke this morning ending up damaging the car.

That would be my preference to not report it to carfax. Before contacting the property management i wont to make sure i am not missing anything

Does insurance report it as accident? Does it affect the car value?

Not a great start to the morning! The drainage covers are broken since past 2 months. I have asked the management company to fix the thing but no one seems to pay attention to the problem. This morning my car got stuck and damaged the front bumper.
How do I go about it? Police report? Insurance? Ask management to pay for the damage? Lawsuit?! Would this affect carfax? Or insurance?
