It was a reference to Mother's Basement mockumentary about magical girls. It was a bit where he made "Public Service Announcements" as if anime tropes existed irl, and he has a video where he explains what to do if your daughter was a magical girl.

In this short story, I imply that Mr Takada saw the video and followed the instructions to a T: Finding Sumineko disguised as a plushie and throwing them into the washing machine as a torture device to make them talk.

"... what?" Mr Takada asked.

"What you hear. I am bound to a specific bloodline, your late wife's" Sumineko, the Patron of Healing, had said. "And your daughter has no remaining relatives on that side. Akumatsu made sure of it"

"So, Akumatsu... what did he do? Send monsters after them?" Mr Takada asked. "Sumire-san died because of a sickness..."

"Akumatsu sent a plague over the bloodline that only wielding me can ward them against. Ai-chan is infected, but she wields me and thus she is not affected by it" Sumineko said. "She wants to avenge her mom and her other relatives, and I would choose you if I could..."

"Why me? I don't have Sumire-san's blood" Mr Takada said.

"Because you're Ai's dad, and thus technically count as close family. But I wouldn't be able to choose you anyways, because Ai would die if she gave up on me and if she died you wouldn't be eligible anymore" Sumineko said.

"You could've just said the first thing" Mr Takada said. "So... what should I do?"

"There are other Magical Patrons that are not bound by bloodlines and don't have users either. The Patron of Time is one of them. Only a person with a strong will can wield them, but your will is strong enough if you got through so much trouble to find me and save your daughter"

"About that..." Mr Takada lowered his head, apollogetic. "I'm sorry I threw you into the washing machine. I didn't know you would be this reasonable"

"So you were happy with throwing me in there if I was a sociopath happy with endangering your daughter?!" Sumineko asked.

Mr Takada couldn't help but nod.

"That's really fancy and all, but... what if I want you both to save the world AND me at the same time?" Isabella asked.

Superbia looked at her, surprised at that question.

"I'll answer. You, a villain, look at the trolley problem and will feel pleasure as your inaction kills five people. As long as your dear one is saved, you don't care. Kaiser, the hero, looks at the trolley problem and runs to the tracks to cut off the ties on all of the people in danger, risking being ran over the train while cutting off the five people's ties" Isabella said. "That's why I'll always prefer Kaiser, he always searches the third, best solution, even if it endangers his life"

"If the dichotomy of saving you or the world has also the answer of both, I can give him the answer of neither as well. Are you happy about that possibility?" Superbia asked.

"The most critical difference between you and I, the motive of why I would never be even your friend... is that unlike you, I haven't given up hope" Isabella said.

Superbia frowned.

"Let us see how much this hope of yours last"

"Is this a prank, Leonhart?" I asked, after hearing the story that pathetic kid hero, Leonhart, had told me by the phone.

"No... please... I need help" Leonhart was blubbering. He was cold, hungry and desperate. I knew that feeling oh too well... I'm not exactly the kind of guy who went into villainy out of psychopathy after all.

"Why me?" I asked. "You have a league, right?"

"They... their base is on space, the pods only go up and down by day, I just need a place to stay tonight and then I'll go away..." Leonhart says.

"Why me?" I ask again. But it's for another reason. "I torture your friends and league partners with mind rape on a weekly basis just because they get in my way. Why would you ever trust me?"

"I don't know... ever since we met, I felt like... you looked like a grandpa. I miss mine. He was a good man. After he died, I was left with them. And now they kicked me out"

Ouch. I became a mafia boss, but I was unusually nice, I only did lesser crimes and made sure to only harm the guilty. It was after I lost my wife and my infant son that I grew colder and into the terrain of supervillainy, with genetic experiments and illegal mutations on the guys on my payroll. I had the wish everyone has of being a parent and then a grandparent taken away from me by some rival mafia, and now this hero kid who should hate my guts confesses that he's calling me after his world crumbled around him because he sees me as grandpa material. I grip my phone and mutter.

"I'm geolocalizing you. A black car will arrive soon after. You'll stay with me, but you have to leave the League" I say. The kid goes silent. "Relax, I won't force you to dabble into my illegal businesses. You'll just quit being a superhero and turn into a regular kid that just happens to have powers"

"Why?" The kid asked.

"How do you expect to save a world that won't even give you the time of day?" I ask, knowing damn too well that this was the question I gave myself when I lost Dalia and Ken.

"Because that way I'll make a world that welcomes everyone with open arms" The kid says.

Damn. That almost makes me not want to pick him up.

Almost.

Perhaps I'm just a bit raw because of the "grandpa" comment.

Woah! I love it, I love it so much! An extremist kind of villain protagonist... although I have seen a bit of a plot hole. If the President is a telepath and can hear the screams of the servants... why can't he hear Willbur's screams?

"One of two things: This is Narnia or a horror movie" I said to myself. Either way, my life was boring and I needed a deep life lesson that would change it from its very core, so I just carelessly entered.

I saw a single room, with a candle that wasn't even light on... and a rainbow lighter. When I picked up the lighter, its colour changed into brown.

"What in the...?" I try to switch on the flame, and I'm amazed when I see it's rainbow coloured. "Amazing!"

I then light on the candle... and a strange creature, cat-like, that floats around appears.

"Welcome-nya! This is Neko-Rainbow, and I'll explain to you what the Rainbow Flame is-nya!" The cat said.

I didn't utter a word. This did not seem like reality.

"When turning your first Rainbow Flame-nya, the flame makes me as your tutor-nya!" The cat said. "Basically, the Rainbow Flame is the source of imagination coming true-nya! A blessing from the Three Goddess of Chaos to this world-nya! And this is one of the eight lighters that exist on it-nya!"

"Only eight? So I have one" I say, holding the lighter.

"Of course-nya! But this is because the previous owner made this room with a Rainbow Flame-nya, to then leave the lighter and commit suicide, renouncing definitively to the lighter-nya!"

"Really? So there is a Rainbow Flame hidden in my home that gives this room life. Can it create life?" I ask.

"The only hard limits on the Rainbow Flame is that it can't directly resurrect the dead and it can't create more magical lighters nor anything that would produce more Rainbow Flames-nya!" Neko-Rainbow said. "Also, only the creator of a Rainbow Flame can create stuff with it-nya, and it will never consume the surface that burns, but it will go off without oxygen or if you blow on it hard enough-nya"

"What happens if it goes off?" I asked.

"That everything that was created on it dissapears. If the thing it creates is a room, the room and anything inside of it, be a real thing or created by the Rainbow Flame, will cease to exist" Neko-Rainbow said, ominously, to then switch to his happy demeanor. "Do you want to try blowing your flame out?"

"Could you guide me to the Flame that gives this room life?" I asked.

"Of course! I just know where it is. Follow me!" Neko-Rainbow said.

I followed him into the attic and saw the rope where the previous owner had hung himself, and the solitary rainbow flame on a scented candle. Huh. No wonder the house was so cheap. I gently get to the candle, and look at the flame. I don't feel the same wonder I felt with my candle, I guess it was because of not being my Rainbow Flame. Then I have a question.

"How did you know the guy hung himself? Also, how did you know the candle was here? And did he seriously make a room with a candle for the next guy who bought his house?" I asked.

"Because I hold the memories of the magical lighter, because I hold the memories of the magical lighter aaand because I hold the memories of the magical lighter. I didn't see him hanging himself, I just remember him prepping the rope, turning on the candle and putting the lighter on the room" Neko-Rainbow said. "I also hold certain memories of yours, because I was made by your flame, so I know someone died in that house. I just put stuff together"

"You're quite intelligent, Neko-Rainbow" I say, getting so near the flame my breath is making it tremble. "So if I destroy this, I will make that room dissapear, yes?"

"And everything on it, even the candle that gives me form" Neko-Rainbow said.

I looked at Neko-Rainbow. He seemed worried, but accepting. He surely knew what I was about to do. My sigh blew off the candle... and Neko-Rainbow dissapeared. I took the candle, and the door was no more.

"Well... time to do stuff with this candle, I guess"

"That's... how curses usually work" The princess said, baffled. "You evil guys do not understand how true love works, and thus always think these curses are unbreakable"

"Princess, you are so throughoutly sweet and kind that a curse that only breaks by pure love would break easily. You're not easy to hate. You're kind and sweet, you look beautiful and have a pleasant voice and mannerisms to match! You are simply the best princess! That's why, as no one will truly hate you, your curse won't ever be broken, and you will perish!" The evil wizard said, laughing maniacally.

Then the curse suddendly broke itself, baffling the wizard.

"What?" He whimpered.

"I hate myself because I'm so easy in the eyes, the minds and the hearts of everyone I will never have my desired enemies-to-lovers story. And I guess that self-hatred counts as a curse-breaker" The princess said.

"That... that... FU---"

>When and where is this?

A fantasy world where nuclear energy was discovered because of magic working as a part of nature and them not understanding how atoms exactly work but having lots of spells that are equal to nuclear bombs.

>Also are you preparing a part 2?

I guess? Should I?

EDIT: Also, they have functioning plumbing systems and bathrooms, and wristwatches. They don't actually have much scientific knowledge, but they substitute it with magic.

"Yeah! A teenager" The kid said, already present. "A peasant's kid, that's right"

"Yes! You haven't been trained with the sword, you don't have what it takes to defeat the Dark Lord!" The King said.

"But I have! I've always had this strong magic I couldn't control, I live with my uncle because I nuked my parents's house in an outburst!" The kid shouted. "And I've been friends all my life with the young men you have sacrificed like lamb to this madman's slaughter!"

"I know my nephew is the one chosen by the Prophecy because I've raised him as my own, ever since I rescued him from the blasted heat he left behind after obliterating my sister's farm" The priest said. "He has little control of it, but I'm sure that if we train him into our magic arts, he'll become the key to finally put an end to this madness"

"One month. I'm giving you one month to train the boy, priest" The king conceeded. "Then he'll duel with my Royal Mage"

"Wait, what?!" The priest shouted, scared.

"If this kid really is so strong he can obliterate an entire farm in an outburst, I'm sure that with one month of practice he might duel toe to toe with the strongest mage in all our kingdom" The king said, wanting to shatter this kid's perceived cockiness and naivety.

"I'll do my best, my liege" The kid said.
