Fought with the landlord for two years to get it fixed, to no avail. Culprit got no more than a slap on the wrist (didn’t happen here…) Every rafter holding up the roof on one side of the house was shattered! With a $25k deductible, I think your friend is in a bind; GoFundMe is not a bad idea. I definitely empathize with them…
