You can easily amuse teens for a few hours in AC. There are arcades, rides, a boardwalk, candy stores…. Showboat has indoor activities for kids/teens. Sugar factory in Hardrock (I think it’s hard rock).
Not sure of what time of year you are going but I would double check that everything is open before going. This time of year can be hit or miss depending on weather.

Reply to Follow-up: Does the Atlantic City boardwalk have enough to entertain a group of 14 year olds for 2-3 hours? Just wanting some beach shops, an arcade, ferris wheel, go-karts, etc. Closer and cheaper than Wildwood, not sure if there's a noticeable difference for that brief of a visit by garbageeater
