I just turned off raise to wake and you can still unlock the phone when the AOD is on by looking at it and swiping up on the home bar

I turned it off, You can just swipe up and it'll active Face ID and unlock the phone

I found that the macro mode on this phone is super sensitive, It's best to have it toggled on/off in the settings instead of automatic
