Watch Infinity Wars first. Endgame is essentially part 2.

He believed the universe was overpopulated and killing itself. He witnessed the destruction of numerous planets and countless individuals dying from war, famine and pestilence. He wanted to reduce the population of the universe by half. There was not set targets, good or bad, 50% would go. So no, there wasnt another way that he knew of.

Its mixed. What he was doing made him a bad guy but the reasons why he was doing it made him a good guy. He's probably one of the best antagonist/protagonist combos out there.

The cells in our bodies are recognized by our body as genuine cells that should be there while foreign bodies generally get recognised and then rejected. Cancer is a mutation of our bodily cells so when our body looks around it only recognizes a pre existing cell that should be there, when In reality it has become infected. This is why the body doesnt fight cancer like other illnesses.
