I agree in general but the kids section of the library is really great too.

Birch Alley is also right across the parking lot from Crompton and looked very decked out in Christmas Stuff when I went passed it this weekend.

If you want a more sports bar/brunch mix than what has been suggested, try the Tavern on the Square locations. If you just want brunch, the other places suggested are great.

I took my 4 year old to School Yahd a few times last winter and he always had a great time.
