I almost didn't read this because of the animal abuse disclaimer, (I just can't handle it, dogs are my life), but I'm really glad I did, the title sucked me in. Feivel is the bestest boy, dogs are such amazing creatures! Organ memory retention is the weirdest thing. Honestly though, if someone kissed me with their eyes open all the time I'd get the ick and get out of there for sure.

Thank-you so much. He already beat cancer once, now a few years later completely new cancer has cropped up. Poor guy can't catch a break. I think he's most disappointed that he has to give up wine for a while though, being Italian, it's like water to him. He's had 4 operations and six months of very strong chemo. He's got a great collection of fedoras now, he looks really great in them. We're all staying positive for him and hopefully when they scan him after his chemo is done, it will be gone for good. Fingers toes and eyes crossed! Congratulations to your dad for being 13 years in remission!

Holy crap. What a twist, and how devastating to think that this kind of thing, and worse happens in our world. There is no supernatural evil that could ever compare to the black hearts of child traffickers. I thought this was just another clichè ghost story, but that ending really smacks you in the face. Excellent writing OP, and hopefully therapy can help you find some peace.

This story really hit home. My dad is going through chemo at the moment. Stage 4 cancer. The part about how her dad looked so frail and like he would break made me tear up. It's such an awful journey. Only another 3 months. 🤞🤞🤞

Either Loki...or could it be the lady from hell that grew up there? The manequinn like monster with a penchant for slaughter. She had a perfect human form. Whoever it was definitely does not like losing.

Wow, and I thought my asshole dad was bad. What a dick. I thought Aleksei would crush him, but being set on fire by Jacek is even better! I think split tongues look awesome, as a tattoo artist, I used to work with people in the bodymod community who had them...it's definitely not a bad thing in a boyfriend...lol. And please protect Casimir at all costs. He's such a beautiful soul, you need to enchant him with a protection spell or something. If anything happens to him, I won't be able to handle it!

So did Jacek curse you to eternally wear your wedding dress when he left? I know you don't want to talk about him...but I'm dying to know! Can one of the cryptids help you reverse the curse? Cause that can't be comfy!

Reply to Murder was legal in my town of Brightwood Pines. I didn't question it until I started getting toothache. Then I was questioning my whole existence. by Trash_Tia
As far as I understood, Brightwood is a program that the influencers signed up to, (though some were created for it) which is like an online Alternate Reality Game (ARG), to stop/reduce mankind from committing murder. They are programmed to fully assimilate into the world. Maybe they were criminals and this was an alternative to prison/death, or maybe it was just for views. I may be very wrong, but regardless, I love this story! The way it weaves back and forward is excellent. Can't wait for more! (✷‿✷)
