Avoid the Parkland ER in Derry if you actually want to help/save people (and any potential patients avoid if you want to survive unless it's cardiac arrest). Not sure about other people's experiences there but I was misdiagnosed 4 out of 5 times I ended up there. The first time as a child (which was actually 3 visits over 2 weeks but I'll count it as 1 situation), I can forgive (sort of) as it was an unusual medical condition beyond their expertise for someone my age. 3 other emergency visits, going in stating I had a history of my medical condition and describing symptoms of it, were misdiagnosed as... a spider bite, a UTI, and a chest infection. All were eventually actually diagnosed as life threatening issues related to my medical condition.

The one time I was actually diagnosed properly and admitted, the staff were great for the most part (one nurse actually applied a medical device that could've made my situation worse but my girlfriend in the medical field, called them out). The ER just seems like a disaster. I think Parkland is for-profit, so maybe that's the reason?

Sorry for the rant about Parkland, it's just an awful ER. Great place to send relatives that you hate but they have you in their will though, so that's something I guess.

People are going to give you flak because you're reporting the sighting of a common animal as a warning. I know you were well intentioned but seeing a fox is nothing special for most people in NH. Appreciate the concern for your chickens though. I had a fisher wreak havoc on my own chicken coop and one killed my cat years ago.

"Old retirees, surly and unhealthy locals, and inconsiderate tourists" also describes a lot of New Hampshire unfortunately. Manchester is probably good for your age range though. As far as your politics go, nobody cares unless you make it your personality or when it comes to dating.

Manchester is fine. It has its good and bad areas. I haven't lived in big cities elsewhere but I've worked in the worst areas of Manchester and assume they're not as bad as the worst areas in places like NYC, LA and Chicago.

Trial and error or connections when it comes to finding a good mechanic. By good mechanic, I'm not talking about someone ignoring safety standards and slapping a sticker on any jalopy. It took me a while to find an honest but lenient mechanic. He'd tell me if something was an actual immediate safety issue and wouldn't slap a sticker on if that was the case. He'd straight up tell me what needs to be replaced and to come back once it's fixed. He'd give his price for the repair but suggested shopping around and even telling me what parts I should get myself if I wanted to do it myself.

Other minor issues, he'd tell me "get this fixed before you come back next year, otherwise you'll likely fail inspection". He'd never pressure me into having those minor issues dealt with immediately by him. He was my go-to guy. Unfortunately health issues forced him out of the business.

I looked at this and was just curious about other's experiences getting a new copy of a title. I guess I'm just skeptical about the government making things easy. But thanks! "My ex shredded my original title" didn't seem like a good excuse.

2011 Silverado, so no luck there. I just didn't want to be ambushed by the DMV after walking in there and requesting a copy of the title with basic info about the vehicle. I have to take time off of work to go get a new copy of the title.

Yeah I get that, just looking for experiences from other people where maybe they had issues getting a new title after it was destroyed/lost. I know there's a form online but that doesn't mean the DMV isn't going to give me shit and I don't want to waste my time arguing with them.

When did you move here from the south? Rain is easy mode compared to the black ice, slush and snow we drive in. The people you're complaining about have probably moved up here from the south. 60% of the residents here aren't from NH.

I live in Derry and haven't heard anything about this and can't find any local news or posts about anything like this happening.

WPDE isn't even a NH station. Derry is a pretty heavily Republican leaning town and yet there's no local mention of this. No outrage on the town's Facebook page and Derry Republicans get triggered over the smallest things, so it would definitely be mentioned locally.
