Reply to Can you help identify this sheet material? It's literally one of grandma's old sheets, it seems to have a thread count of about 150, but the most important thing is the weight, it's 240gsm, twice as heavy as anything I can find online. by PrettyGazelle
That looks like linen. All sheets set we have right now are linen although I don't think they're that heavy. But I do have one summer dress that's made of heavy linen and this sheet looks similar to it.
I spent a lot of money for each sets but so far they're worth it. Only the extra blankets/bed covers are cotton.
We wash them with baking soda for pre wash and white vinegar for rinsing. They immediately became soft. They're warm in winter and cooling in summer.
They do have the natural lived in look but it's better as we honestly don't have time to iron our beddings.

Does Zephyr work well in puddles, creeks, mud and snow? It gets pretty wet for a good 6-9 months here in Luxembourg. Fields and woods are also wet from the dew in the morning. My dog and us get pretty dirty from outings. I need something that keep my feet dry and easy to hose down mud.

I agree. Unfortunately what's available on the grounds for me here is very limited. I'm resorting to ordering different models in different sizes and lasts in bulk to try on at home and return the ones that don't fit.

Seconding West Paw. Our Boxer loves Toppl and Tizzi. He enjoy chewing them more than Kong.
Kong has some great toys too. There's one that looks like UFO. Our late boxer loved it a lot. We took it to the fields and woods. It bounces and rolls a lot when thrown and he loved chasing after it.
There's no really BIFL for dogs though, especially those with strong jaws. But West Paw and Kong do make some that last a long time.
I also love a licki mat that's made by a small company in Germany, Hund ist König and a tug toy made by a small Polish company in Etsy called ZAYMACraft.

Reply to Linen bedsheets that last more than 2 years by eyelinerandicecream
We have been rotating 3 linen bed sets these past 2 years: 2 from Mango Home and 1 from IKEA.
The Mango ones are still going strong am very comfortable. The IKEA set is shot quality but that's just a filler until I find an EU based company with good quality linen set and have saved up enough to upgrade to something real good.
