SMH. Come on Jake. I thought he said he takes this stuff seriously. What on earth made him think it was a good idea to go outside to see what the noises were? It's like a horror movie where you're yelling at the screen, "Don't go out there you moron!" and he does it anyway. Glad you managed to fight it and stayed inside. Since the thing can leave notes apparently, you should leave a note that says "The beer is flat - that's what you get for killing Jake. If you smash my door again I'm going to shake all of the beers next time. Asshole"

Lol that was my church, I used to work in the rectory & as a sacristan when I was younger. I saw the inner workings & the financials of the church and that was when I stopped going. I didn't like how it was run like a business/how they brought in way more money than they actually needed. Made me wonder who was pocketing all the profits. I swear there was a story in the bible about that, where Jesus went and flipped over all the merchant tables because they were using the house of God to make money. Imagine learning about that in church/CCD and then realizing that the whole church is guilty of it

I still keep the cross that Father Mike blessed for me around my neck every day. Just in case I run into anything unnatural like the wet lady :P

If I'm being honest, as someone from North Jersey, the people from South Jersey are on my list of "top 10 weirdest things in NJ" - they call Taylor Ham "Pork Roll" and they call subs "hoagies" - and those are just the PG13 things that I'm comfortable sharing here. It gets worse! *shudder*

Also they all live down in the Pine Barrens with the NJ Devil. Like seriously, who moves to NJ to live in the woods? If you want woods, go to PA, Upstate NY, or literally like anywhere else in the Northeastern US. The forests are way nicer there. You wouldn't go to New York City to live in the woods, right?

We have a magazine here called "Weird NJ" - I actually grew up right around the corner from the abandoned mental hospitals in Essex County, they're in that magazine. I'm surprised I haven't seen more stories on here about some of these places. When I was a dumb teenager we went and did them all. Clinton Road, Midgetville, Devil's Tree. We were really dumb. I guess if your mom is a rational person she probably wouldn't know about them, lol

You know, people who like to write off encounters like this and call someone crazy for it, I think they're the crazy ones. When you think about how unfathomably enormous the universe is, it's beyond human comprehension. The people who believe that we're the only intelligent life in the entire universe are crazy. Really, think about it. We don't even know how to travel through space to planets outside of our solar system, let alone the Milky Way galaxy, and the galaxy is just a tiny little blip on the radar compared to the universe. Who's to say there's not multiple universes? But no0o0o, AlIeNs aReNt ReAl BrO yOu'Re CrAzY

The number of stars, planets, galaxies out there is almost infinite. When you run the numbers and probabilities, you have a better chance of winning the mega millions than you have of earth being the only place that life exists. And it's not even close.

It's been a hell of a ride man. Thank you for taking us along on this journey with you and I'm glad you made it out in one piece. Evan is the homie and I hope you keep in touch with him, he may not be human but there's clearly some kindness in his heart. Leah Babin is such an idiot lmfao I was dying laughing about that part. Uncle John stole your wish to save your life with it, I knew he must have some motivations but I wasn't expecting that.

I'm both happy and sad to see that this is the finale and I hope we can get an encore when you do your next yearwalk!

Man, what a ride. Where do I start? I knew Henri would give Asher a chance, and it speaks volumes about how much he cares about you and trusts you that he would fight one of his ancient friends over it. Milo is the man, as always. It kinda felt wrong after everything you've been through together that he wasn't there for that conversation so I was really happy when he showed up. Him and Asher have another thing in common - you accidentally almost killed them both in the human dimension but fortunately managed to save them at the last second.

It must be a lot of fun to be friends with you and I'm looking forward to some adventures of the new trio. If you're going to catch the murderer, I have a feeling you'll need them both and then some. Henri was right, Lucy would be damn proud, and Sky should have known better than to pick you up by the neck. At that point it was no longer about the harbinger and he could kill her just based on principle. Ancient friends or not you don't touch my family!

As always, looking forward to the next update. Also I agree with Lightwalker about going to see the Lady of Stories, however I don't think Henri has a good chance of dying. I will never forgive him if he breaks my heart like that. I would, however, stand up and cheer if you can somehow manage to get help from Kate/The LOS & Beau to catch whatever has been murdering inhuman beings! Oh, and Ashley is cool too but she's in college and has her hands full already. Maybe she can point you in the right direction though. We haven't heard from Kate, or anything about the campgrounds since she became an ancient being. Sure would be nice if someone could go check on her, maybe get a little advice, and update us on how she's doing. Also, I might end up shipping Ashley & Ian.

Looking at you, u/fainting--goat :)

I know you were curious and throwing out an expensive gaming rig that you got for free is hard to do, but your instincts/gut feelings are there for a reason. Always listen to them. The body suit was a huge red flag. There's not a whole lot that you can't do with just a headset and a couple controllers. For all the shit we put our video game characters through, do you really wanna feel what they feel? lol

I only date women who have serious daddy issues. Laugh all you want but they tend to be strong, independent, and 100% badass, I love that. I guess you're living proof, aren't you?

So glad Jacek showed up exactly at the right time, I'm sure Nick had something to do with that since your dad plays for the other side but that was the badass (re)entrance he deserved. Who would have thought I would literally be rooting for the devil over your dad, as if he's the lesser of two evils. Not gonna lie, I kinda wish you shot your dad in the face, lord knows he had it coming especially when you saw that same look in his eyes that Jem had. Now we know where he got it from.

I really hope Cas is ok and he didn't mess up that prettyboy face of his, otherwise I might have to steal his title. Another reason your dad would have looked good with a swiss cheese face and some cinder block shoes. Oh well, maybe next time.

Side note and I hope Jacek doesn't kill me but if you ever run out of regular people to date, I'm single, familiar with all things inhuman, and I won't even ask about the wedding dress ;)

Tonight on the 6 o'clock news, a raging fire consumes the Vatican, leaving nothing but ashes in its wake. Some insist that this is the handiwork of Satan himself. An eye witness claims to have seen the ground crack open in Saint Peter's Square, unleashing Satan and all of hell's armies on the entire world. Others say it was just some random guy from Reddit who lost his friends & new girlfriend in the catacombs and wanted revenge. Are we all going to die and burn in hell for eternity?? Tune in tonight at 6 PM to find out!

If they aren't doing anything to physically hurt you, or ruin your reputation, why are you so paranoid? The reason she's doing it is because she knows it will get to you. If you just ignored her and her friends and lived your life as if they didn't exist, they would probably get bored and go fuck off somewhere. They're doing it to get a rise out of you, and you're playing right into their hands. Once you stop reacting, it will completely defeat the purpose for her. Don't let her force you into slipping up. Completely ignore them and it will force her to slip up or do something drastic to get your attention, at which point she gets nailed for it, game over, you win.

Side note: I would never put my hands on a woman but if anyone ever punched me hard enough that I got a black eye I would lay them out as a reflex. I don't care if it's a man, woman, or apache attack helicopter. I respect women and I would never be abusive but I expect that same respect in return. She really crossed the line there

Di Cesare.. Swear I just read that name the other day. That chick at the smoothie shop in the mall, Hannah? Is that one of the sisters now or is it just someone that one of the sisters happened to come across? I remember her changing her name at the end from Ross to Di Cesare.. Wait, you wrote that one. Lol, I'm repeating your own story back to you and now just realizing it

Dear OP:

I am deeply sorry if I creeped you out by making the fan club. We just felt so bad about what happened with Ray and Jane and we didn't want to ruin their special day, so we got everyone together and wouldn't take no for an answer. Believe me, they tried, but we were having none of it. We would be honored if you would come to the reception that we set up for you and your family. Don't forget to bring your camera and post it on Youtube!

With Love,

Henri had to live with the guilt of banishing the harbingers this whole time. This is his chance to make it right. While one of the harbingers did take his family away from him, Asher has saved your life and made sure that you made it back home to Henri safely multiple times now. I know it doesn't fix the loss of his original family but it has to count for something. Lucy would want him to forgive and give Asher a chance

I used to gym at night too but I don't think I ever was 100% alone. That would probably freak me out and I imagine I would have been out the door before the lights even shut off. I read too much NoSleep to be alone at night anywhere that isn't my fortress of a house. What the hell was that thing?

ARKADIUSZ is the son of Zeus and Callisto. It would make sense that Nick has no power over him currently. As the son of Zeus, I'm sure it absolutely could turn the tides if Nick were able to control him/wield his power. Your land sounds a lot like Arcadia, too. Unspoiled, harmonious wilderness. We all want to see you get Jacek back but please, for the good of everyone here, be careful playing ball with the devil. If Nick gains power over God, it could damn us all for eternity. I know we're already well on our way there anyway, but no need to speed up the process, lol.

ORIGIN:

GREEK

NAME ROOT:

ARKADÍĀ > ARKÁS / ARKÁDIOS

NATIVE NAME ROOT:

ARKADÍĀ ‎(ἈΡΚΑΔΊᾹ) ARKÁS ‎(Ᾰ̓ΡΚᾸ́Σ) ARKÁDIOS (ΑΡΚΆΔΙΟΣ)

MEANING:

This name derives from the Ancient Greek name “Arkás ‎(Ᾰ̓ρκᾰ́ς) and Arkádios (Αρκάδιος)”, which in turn derives from “Arkadíā ‎(Ἀρκαδίᾱ)”, meaning “coming from Arcadia, native of Arcadia”. Arcadia, also known as idyllic land, pleasant life land, far from reality, is one of the regional units. It is part of the administrative region of Peloponnese. It takes its name from the mythological character Arcas, son of Zeus and Callisto. Arcas became the new king of Arcadia and the country's greatest hunter. In Greek mythology, it was the home of the god Pan. In European Renaissance arts, Arcadia was celebrated as an unspoiled, harmonious wilderness.

Asher seems pretty cool. Nice to finally know his name. His friends though? Not so much. Interestingly enough it seems he can hear you from pretty much anywhere in the dark forest if all you had to do was call him and he came and he's been keeping tabs on your brief visits every time. He must sense your presence somehow, as I imagine the dark forest isn't exactly a small space. The fact that he can shadow travel and on the first murder you discovered you saw a figure move by the window extremely quickly raises some red flags for me. It must be one of them

Looks like you did just see it happen. I share the same belief that our consciousness is energy and that it can't be destroyed. It has to go somewhere even after we've left our physical form. I find that I'm highly sensitive to the energies of our world and over the years have learned to refine it and put myself in tune with them. Everything from being able to read a room, to feeling something off right before something bad happens that should have killed me. It's saved my life multiple times and I've even saved the people I love a few times too. I have friends on the other side of the world and there's been times where I just knew to reach out because something was wrong without even talking to them first. I don't claim to be a psychic or see the future but your essay and your theory on energy makes a lot of sense to me

This reminds me of what I always say to drug addicts who claim it was the drugs that made them steal. The 'drugs' - or in your case, money, didn't make you do anything. It just showed you the person you truly are. There is always a better option than stealing. If you need money so badly, learn a new skill. Get a better/higher paying job. Find a side hustle. You can literally learn anything on Youtube these days for free. If your parents meant so much to you, you would never have endangered them by bringing such negative karma into their lives. You took the easy way out and now you get to live with it. I hope you see Justin and his daughter every time you close your eyes or try to sleep. If you have half a slice of decency left in you, you would go back and hand him half of that money for putting him through that. Every time I regain a little bit of faith in humanity, things like this remind me why I lost it in the first place.
