Reply to Suppose budget was no issue. What inter-town/city rail connections would you build, either within Vermont or from places in Vermont to elsewhere? by DrToadley
Route 7 corridor, currently served by a bus line at the most inopportune times. The freight system already runs that entire length, and it’s the perfect use case for passenger service. Bennington to St Albany, passing through Arlington, Manchester, North Clarendon, Rutland, Brandon, Middlebury, Vergennes, Williston, Burlington, St Albans. If Chittenden County wants to actually get revenue outside their area, it makes so much sense.

Reply to Subaru “all weather tire” question. by BallLikeLucky
Depends what sort of road you life on and how urgently you need to leave the house. If you have to travel/commute regardless of weather, get snow tires. All-seasons (or no-seasons, as your fifth-generation neighbor would call them) have limitations in wet grip at low temperatures. In VT winter temps, they will perform far worse than designated winters.

Reply to High beaming by ResponsibleExcuse727
High and low in headlights refers to aim more than light output. Modern trucks, SUVs, and large crossovers ride significantly higher than older cars, to the point where their low beams do look like high beams—unless you’re also in an equally-huge vehicle.
