If I missed the bus, the shortest path to the junior high for me was a hike through the woods. One time, I slipped on a log and fell FACE-FIRST into a patch of stinging nettles. When I got to school, my teacher sent me to the nurse's office, but I refused to let them call my home. I knew no matter what I said, my douche of a step-dad would accuse me of trying to get out of school. Now, that may sound crazy to you: I had WELTS all over my FACE. But that is exactly how insane that piece of shit was.
