Can’t say it’d be bifl but surely there should be a brand that will last a good long while with light to moderate use in a home kitchen. Having two of them from different brands both fail due to the same reason in under two years is unacceptable.

I also had the Cusinart smartstick and unfortunately it sheared on the coupler shortly after I purchased it. I then purchased the Mueller Austria and that just did the same thing. The plastic coupler has become my nemesis

This looks interesting, I’ll be headed to the restaurant supply store near me tomorrow. Hopefully they have something similar.

I had a look at the breville on ifixit.com and sadly the coupler is plastic 🙁

I was thinking along the same lines, surely a commercial model would have to stand up to regular use. Fortunately there is a restaurant supply store nearby so I’ll have a look and hopefully they carry the dynamic mini-pro or another like brand/model - thanks!
