Reply to comment by Professional-Menu835 in My first potato peeler (Sparschäler) I got this Sparschäler 10 years ago already used by my grand mother. It is still a mass product and you can buy it for round about 5 USD. But this one is made in West Germany so at least 33 years old and almost daily in use. by Secundus_Scipio
American here. Any potato product tastes better if the skins are left on—fries, mashed taters, hash browns. Maybe not gnocchi but I wouldn’t be shocked.

I bought a Patagonia Pow Slayer; it’s a great, light rain shell— but it would be impossible on the slopes as there’s no room for anything but a very light fleece underneath.
They make the arms so freaking long you have to size down, whoch means a snug fit in the torso.

Just be aware wthe very strange fit for jackets and coats—small in the torso and long in the arms. Otherwise good stuff.

That’s too bad. BTW there is very expensive furniture, including antique furniture, that uses veneer.

Lane was made in USA of solid wood as recently as a few years ago and may still be. Bassett is slso decent. Upscale would be Stickley, Thomas Moser.

Ashland Leather, in shell cordovan. It won’t crease and light scratches can be rubbed away. Expensive but it will last nearly forever. In fact I think it would last literally forever unless set afire.
I bought one over 5 years ago and it’s been bulletproof.

Very nice. If there’s one thing I can’t abide it’s a wrinkly sandwich.
