This. The best drunken noods in PVD, hands down. Make sure you go to the one on Parade, the one on hope is unrelated and not as good.

LOL serial killers are so passé, all about mass shootings these days and little Rhody does not have either presently.

This. Rhode Islanders somehow think they are the epicenter of stuff like people migrating to the state and the housing/rental crisis probably exaggerates that shared consciousness. I am from southwest Florida and visited there during the holidays. Approximately 100 people move to Florida every day, and I’m not just talking about boomers. Covid changed lots of peoples decisions on where they want to live but Rhode Island is not growing much at all when it comes to the population. Anytime I fly into the state now it feels more like my sleepy Florida hometown and my hometown now feels like some mutated city.

It’s insanely rough. Ms-13s headquarters is there, the police don’t even go there any more for fear of their safety!

A little hyperbolic…is it cold for New England today and tomorrow? Yes. Are there areas in the world and country that have adapted to work outside in conditions like this? Yes. Look at Canada, the whole country doesn’t stay inside because it’s cold, Ukrainians are persisting despite massive power outages during the winter.

John was an old chef at the garden grille and eventually became the chef at the Grange and they shuffled him back to the garden grille during Covid because garden grille had a rotating door of staff after their remodel due to bad management, hell they tried to screw over a chef at the garden grille related to his unemployment application after they let him go over bullshit circumstances. I like the owners of the restaurants but they are bizarre in the sense of not being the most egalitarian people, hell Rob once protested with others at the capital when they raised the hourly wage of servers. John, the chef at the Grange, is an absolute twat despite the granges food being pretty good. If you thought working at the garden grille sucked it was even worst at the grange. I worked at both for several years and thank god I got out before Covid.

Reply to Biking in PVD (?!?) by dancingdivadrink
It kinda sucks. Depends on where you live? Going from the east side to the west end sucks and then going from the west end yo Cranston sucks too. Not many dedicated lanes, pot holes and New England weather makes it challenging but I have consistently used a bike here for over three years to commute and travel. One plus side is most streets don’t have high speed limits and people are generally considerate compared to other metro areas. Best of luck out there, not many people bike outside of using the recreational trails or wealthy white folk on the east side.
