It's more of a global comprehension of the book. We won't go into details, that's one of the reasons I allow myself to watch an adaptation. Tbh even if reading in English (a foreign language for me) is more difficult, I enjoy some classic English literature. It's just that Jane Austen is one of the author I can't fully appreciate.

If it was going to be something really that important for this class I would. But it's not. Also, English isn't my first language so it's more difficult. Reading stories with this kind of setting in my first language was tedious enough. But reading it in a foreign language and it being twice or three times longer, all of that for a minor class? Sorry but I have enough work already. Anyways I understand what you're saying but I know I'll take forever to read it and it's not really worth it this time.
