Thank you for your detailed response. The survey is part of an exercise in exploring data collection methods and to compare/contrast pros/cons. It isn't going to be in any peer reviewed, statistically significant/sound study.

I agree with your points, and I figured before-hand that it, along with the health question, were going to be the problem areas due to the subjectivity. They're obviously not quantitative like the first two.

With that said, again with a grain of salt, the food preference question was an attempt to assign a loose monetary value to the meals, while still trying to capture nutritional value. It was not meant in any way to place a label on your character via food preference. In retrospect, this should have been split into two questions. There is obviously a problem with the original question and thank you for confirming that for me.
