In theory that should be the case but in practice that’s not the case I have had issues with my iPhone 13 Pro on T-Mobile with Esim. All of a sudden it just turns off all connections including Wi-Fi only a reboot can fix it.

I brought it to Apple to see if it was my device they replaced everything but screen and camera module , replacement included new e sim chip , and it still happens occasionally.

yeah it unfortunate it seemed like with IOS 16 its been happening more , it could be my imagination but I don't recall ever seeing that message before IOS 16 , but I could be imagining things.

The issue I have with wired connection is how all lightning cables I have bough seem to be even anker ones sometimes have fraying issues , but takes longer than apple ones. Apple ones are notoriously pretty fragile. Even the lightning cable I use for just charging my ipad the plastic casing is starting to crack. I believe I am pulling the cables out properly by the plastic casing not by the cable but it still is happening.
