Not an Alice In Chains fan myself, but my husband is. But years ago they would get like 6-8 bands a year I would want to see. Now it’s 0-1. Just a bummer because we spend so much traveling to venues outside of RI we can only afford 1-2 shows a year when we used to be able to do one annual outside of RI trip and multiple local shows.

I am all for all of these initiatives. While $57M isn’t a whole lot in retrospect if it goes towards the public schools in the cities the gap in education will start to narrow and put pressure on the rural public schools to improve to compete with neighboring New England states. Reducing sales tax by 0.15% also is not a lot but it’s a step in the right direction. I don’t know enough about the litter tax in businesses as I do not own my own business. Though I can say as someone that travels often for work RI is one of the cleaner states in the country when it comes to litter. Even our neighbors to the north (check out the area between the highways on 95N/route 3 north of Waltham, it’s literally covered in trash. I often see hawks get hit by cars trying to get it it and it makes me sick. I also support whatever we can do to decrease the cost of energy bills.

Bars and restaurants are absolutely open. They will be slower or filled with mostly college kids if anything, but it will be fine. What kinds of places are you interested in going? More of a fancy/nice vibe, super casual, mid range? I can give you some recommendations based on what your group is like.

I got the flu shot once in my life. 45 days later I got the flu. The flu shot protects you from the prior years flu strain.

I like driving to Fairfield and taking the train in from there as it’s super easy. New Haven would be my second option. If you don’t mind driving, Stamford is the best bet.
