True, good point. Boxing is my first thought when you mention that, but this will go for all martial arts, mostly.

You don't need to tell me about overkill! I went for the RME ADI 2 for my (original) HD800. For me it was just the perfect all-in-one solution. Quality is perfect, Dac/Amp all in a very small form factor. All the settings, functions and tweaking possibilities I could ever want, parametric EQ, crossfeed, you name it.
And when I one day have a speaker system, it can do a fine job with those too.
That, and it's gorgeous. Nothing more mesmerising than watching the frequency bands dance.
Can I get something 1/5th the price? Sure. But for me, this is perfect, and always will be.
Only thing I still want to audition is tubes...

Is this for BODYBUILDING? As I'm not sure in what other sport you need to FAST so aggressively?

The question of upgrading is honestly as much philosophical in this hobby as anything. You can always chase something else, and different headphones will perform better for certain genres than others, or highlight different aspects of the tracks.
If you really did want something else, you'd have to first state your preferences. Are you currently content with the Deva? Is there anything you feel they are missing? If not, maybe just enjoy them!

I can see I'm out of my depth here, bloody hell! Happy you had fun, but this would be more like visiting a museum for me. Just interesting to observe this world from a slight distance.

PS mine just arrived a couple weeks ago. First time I tested removal and they needed a firm tug unsettled me a little, also. Magic headphones however!

You can get them for around half that on the secondary market. Problem solved?
Edit: I just did exactly that, and they even came with additional pads. Incredible cans. Also you don't seem very happy with them in the picture!

Well I live in Europe and use LCD2-F and was looking to switch to HD 800 as a physically lighter headphone.
