Blocking the crosswalks is particularly rampant, blatant, and crazy. Now the pedestrian has to walk into traffic to get in front of a driver who cannot see them, to cross the street.

I will say, I fully support UI as an essential program. But weren't some of those 2010s extensions pushing benefits out to last 18 months?

Same reason they make voting so needlessly hard, they want to claim to have the thing, but don't want people to actually use it. If you don't have UI in your state, that's monstrous! But if a few thousand people can't fill out the unnecessary yet requisite paperwork and meet the arbitrary and meaningless deadlines, well that's just their own fault isn't it?

This is a common problem everywhere in America:

College sports bring in money to colleges in the same way that junk mail brings in money to the Post Office. Revenue increases, but your core mission suffers.

It is pretty wild. An entire generation struggling to get by and the elders just shrug and tell them to try harder.
