Do you belong to any particular denomination? If so does the denomination have a particular parish/temple that has a good young adult group? IF so I would look to there!

I don't believe you have to be a citizen to volunteer. I would suggest speaking to the staff at the Worcester Community Action Council.

I know what CORI stands for. Commitments are NOT supposed to show up on CORI's even if ordered there by the courts (if not there for having committed a crime.)

That is not exactly true. I know of an individual who was psychiatrically hospitalized at the Bridgewater State Hospital. She now has a CORI for the time she received treatment there although she had never committed a crime, but simply was for psychiatric treatment. In my opinion she shouldn't have a CORI since she never committed a crime, but it is there nonetheless.

Yes, they were going to terminate my Mass Health coverage. I not only received the letter but was told the same thing over the phone by a supervisor. I never got any letters explaining COVID protections. During COVID there was no RX copays and there has been for sometime now.

I'm not the person you were responding to but I think the public health emergency is already considered over. I'm on Mass Health and have been since 2005 and yet had to go through a redetermination in 2022 to ascertain that I was still eligible for it otherwise they were going to terminate my Mass Health coverage. Mass Health has also reinstituted prescription drug copays, etc.

Does the city/town you live in have a reddit group that you could ask for a volunteer willing to go with you?
Are you signed up for your look nextdoor group www.nextdoor.com I have noticed many generous people step forward to help people in situations like this at least around where I am.

Maybe you could ask CCA about if they would pay for Guardian Healthcare in Jamaica Plain to provide a "Guardian Medical Companion." They often go with people who need to have someone be responsible for them for the day (getting them there and taking them home.)

Yes but a PT1 can be approved for you and an escort. You can then ask a friend, neighbor, family member, etc to be your escort.

People who have Mass Health get medical transportation! You don't have to belong to CCA to get that benefit.

I'm much older than 21 and they covered it for me. I had no out of pocket costs. If you are near Boston you can private message and I can share the info with you.

IF you have to pay for it yourself you might consider looking into Delta Dental Discount plan. You pay a small one time membership fee, and then you pay a small amount every month to have it. You get up to 50% off any dental work at contracted providers. They do have a lot of providers. When I joined membership fee was $20.00 and then I pay just under $8 a month.

Mass Health approved for me to get a mouth guard (to wear at night) even before they realized I also have Medicare. I had no out-of-pocket costs. Maybe and this is just a maybe you are requesting a night guard rather than a mouth guard. If you need to find a dentist that will do it for you and your in the Boston area let me know via private message.

It COSTS the city/town money!!!
Of course there is another option you haven't thought of. I, too, live in a multi-unit complex and we also don't have city/town trash pick up. I know my neighbors who live in houses that do have city/town trash pick up. I simply ask them if they would mind my putting it out with their trash. They have always not minded. I then call the place that the city/town contracts with and let them know a mattress will be in front of (give address) and then they pick it up. This is a great reason for knowing your neighbors!!!

To be fair to those who are trying to lose weight, sometimes it is NOT the lack of exercise. Sometimes medication that a person is on puts weight on a person. A person could also be hypothyroid which would prevent them from losing weight even with exercise.
