It was probably the worst movie I've seen all year. It's the kind of movie that thinks it's being a lot clever than it actually is.
So much of the humor falls flat. Lemon and Tangerine were insufferably unfunny.
The writing was also really bad. All of the plot points they set up were so contrived and didn't pay off in any satisfying way. I kept waiting for something to connect and give the story some kind of meaning, but it's all just empty diversion.
Also, I'm not sure why this was even on a bullet train aside from the inherent cool factor. They could have easily set this movie anywhere else and it would have worked the same, they didn't even make use of the setting.
