They happen every Monday Wednesday and Friday at various PPA lots.
You have to think about why the cars are there in the first place. Some, are there because people cannot afford to get them out. Those are marked as live stopped vehicles (they were impounded while they were moving).
Most, were idle and towed to the lot and no one claimed them. Most likely, those you want to stay away from because the person responsible for it felt like it didn’t make any sense to get it out.
The used car salesmen are the best at this. They run the auctions most cases. But, they have a budget and will only spend but so much time on a car cause they need inventory.
Slim chance to get a winner, but you have a chance nonetheless

Wage taxes, sure. They don’t own the property. They pay rent to someone who refuses to have the property reassessed or upgraded for fear of owning more.
And there’s this gleaming structure, damn near $1Bil endowment, zero contributed to the public schools literally adjacent to its campus.
It’s laughable, really.

So, the largest employer along broad street, by far, has not paid taxes since at least 1954.
You gotta come correct. Trickle down has been proven time and time again to not work.
UChicago business school has literally screwed the entire country into believing taxes are bad, then raise them high enough in the surrounding areas so that poorer people can’t move into them and enjoy the benefits that higher taxes offer.

Temple is a nonprofit. You think the people in the region paying 10 to 12% taxes is more than that entity paying whatever the corporate tax rate is now?
…..over 40+ years, no less….?
This isn’t even a difficult math problem.

Look up Temple University 990.
Understand what’s in this document.
When you do, then we can discuss how over and extended period of time, having the largest employer in a few neighborhoods only contribute to the region with lower wage jobs rather than their fair amount of taxes would erode the systems that prop it up.
This is the crux of the matter. Not whatever you’re saying.

I swear…. So you’re saying the schools ability to employ low wage jobs is more important than them paying the proper amount of taxes and having a strong public school district or direct investment in the neighboring communities?
…. Over 40+ years….?
Please have the ability to understand more of the full picture.

I mean…. “Hankering”… are you a true believer? Can you tell the difference?
Whole Foods sells something resembling cornbread that may be mean enough.
If your butt is fat and your cholesterol is high enough to tell the difference, youll understand that no place makes that in this city besides maybe a church outing.
Get yourself some soy lecithin. Get a muffin/cupcakes pan. Get yourself a corn muffin mix that comes in a bag, not a box. Use one egg.
Grease the spaces on that sheet with that soy like you’re trying to DJ Jazzy Jeff your girl’s mouth off.
Ladle the mix in like you’re playing chicken with your stones over a piranha tank. Bake. Butter. Bust.

So, I see about 4 or 5 houses over $300K, and one for $470K on south 62nd. I am trying to see how I can see previous home sales prices for the $400K at 62nd and Walnut.
South West for close to $400K is insane

And if that sounds too far fetched, West Philly is actually considered a really attractive housing market right now.
