I feel like the obvious needs to be said. There aren't any white people in the Chad Brown or East Side gangs. There's no way Tyrone Robinson mistook the white cops for rival gang members.

Do you think Tyrone Robinson should have been out on bail? This event wouldn't have happened if not for the lenient judge.

Providence police: Teen feuding with East Side gang member caught with shotgun

A reputed Chad Brown gang member was arrested with a shotgun Saturday amid a feud with a rival gang member that police warn could have escalated into bloodshed.

Tyrone Robinson, 19, was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana and possession of a firearm while in possession of marijuana, according to Cmdr. Thomas Verdi.

Police say he has been involved in a feud with an East Side gang member, “which has resulted in numerous calls of shots fired,” a report provided by Verdi said.

"It's disheartening anytime anyone shoots at a uniform police officer in this country, and Providence has faced that," said Providence Public Safety Commissioner Steven Pare. "We're thankful today that he was well trained, well prepared, he had his vest on, and what he did probably saved his life."
