Gotcha. Yeah. When it bombed he kinda blamed straight people for not coming out in droves to watch the “first” gay romance. Which just kind of pissed off everybody. I think if he’d just been quiet, it might’ve found a wider audience on streaming. I still plan to see it. Just wasn’t in a hurry.

I haven’t seen it yet but romantic comedies are rarely up for Oscars. I don’t think any of Judd Apatow’s movies have been nominated despite him being in general appreciated by audiences and critics.

Combine that with the backlash the film got after it bombed and Eichner didn’t respond well and I wasn’t sure if you were trolling.
